Controller

Role Description:

We are seeking a Controller who is comfortable working with sophisticated clients and taking the lead on client projects with technology-specific challenges. We offer interesting project assignments with exciting companies, leading compensation rates, and flexible work/life balance, if desired.

Major Responsibilities:

Lead ongoing operational activities for clients, general ledger maintenance and accounts reconciliations, implementation and maintenance of operational and financial internal controls, GAAP financial statement creation, run of semimonthly payroll, evaluation and implementation of accounting systems, and creation and administration of cash and equity compensation plans

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of financial/accounting experience working with a variety of small to mid-sized companies, preferably in high growth sectors

Bachelor’s Degree and Certified Public Accountant certification

Comfortable implementing and using accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Expensify and Bill.com

Fluent in GAAP Accounting and SAAS-based financial guidelines

History managing financial audits

Expertise in federal, state and local level tax issues and procedures
